We currently host our videos on two different sites, YouTube and Wistia. If you are unable to access or have trouble viewing the videos on YouTube (or vice versa) you can manually switch video players by following the steps below.
-
Start by looking for the "Video trouble?" link at the bottom right of the video. Please note: You will see this link after clicking on the initial arrow to play the video.
- Then click the link in option 2 to "try our other video player."
If your school or district has a firewall in place that does not allow students to access YouTube, they may see a "restricted" or "blocked" error message when trying to access the videos. You can automatically bypass YouTube, and choose Wistia as the video player, by adding "?video_player=wistia" (without quotation marks) to the end of the Student Link.
For example this link, https://mysteryscience.com/forces/mystery-1/balanced-unbalanced-forces/111?code=MjAzNjI1Mzc&t=student&chapter=all
would then become this link, https://mysteryscience.com/forces/mystery-1/balanced-unbalanced-forces/111?code=MjAzNjI1Mzc&t=student&chapter=all?video_player=wistia.
This will force the browser to choose Wistia, as opposed to YouTube.
