Here are answers to some of the most common questions we get about this topic and how system administrators can troubleshoot using Mystery Science with Clever.
Do I need to set up anything in order for teachers to use Mystery Science with Clever?
The good news is if your district is already set up with Clever, you won’t need to do anything in order for your teachers to use their Clever accounts to log into Mystery Science. They can just click on the “Log in with Clever” button and use their Clever credentials to log into their Mystery Science account.
Please note: if your district has fully disabled the Clever Library, teachers will not be able to use their Clever accounts to log in to Mystery Science. Instead, they will need to log into Mystery Science using their email address and password.
My district uses Clever, but our teachers are having trouble logging in.
If your school uses Clever and teachers are having trouble logging into Mystery Science using their Clever credentials, they may be trying to log into Mystery Science using a Saved Passwords application in Clever.
Our integration with Clever doesn’t support the Saved Passwords application, and it has been known to cause difficulties, such as repeatedly directing teachers back to the login screen and showing error messages. If your district has a Saved Passwords application for Mystery Science, please remove it from your Clever Portal and have your teachers try logging in again.
If any teachers want to add Mystery Science to their Clever Portal, they can use this Clever Library App.
Do students log into Mystery Science through Clever?
No, since students do not have Mystery Science accounts, teachers should continue to share lessons with them through our Student Links. Even if students have their own Clever accounts at your school, they will not be able to use their Clever credentials to log into Mystery Science.
