Can I pre-make the vinegar and salt mixture? Can I re-use it?
For this activity, you’ll be using the salt and vinegar mixture from the previous lesson activity, Test Like an Alchemist. We've only tested keeping this mixture overnight, and we recommend making a new batch if you need to use it later. If you’re teaching this lesson to multiple classes, each class will need a separate batch of the mixture.
We don't recommend leaving the pennies soaking in the mixture long-term or reusing this liquid after the pennies have been soaking in it.
