Paper Stained Glass Activity
What if I can't find Glad Press n' Seal?
We realize that Press n’ Seal is not readily available in all locations. Here are some alternatives you can try:
- Clear adhesive contact paper is a common alternative for this activity. It is a bit thicker and possibly stickier, but the results will be similar to using Press n' Seal.
- Peel and stick clear book covers are similar to contact paper.
- If contact paper is not easily accessible, teachers have also used parchment paper, waxed paper, or tracing paper. However, your students will have to glue the tissue paper onto the paper since it's not sticky. We recommend using watered-down liquid glue. Also, please keep in mind that the parchment paper will turn out more opaque than the other two types of paper.
- As a last resort, you can use clear report covers sprayed with repositionable adhesive spray. This may be the most challenging and experimental option.
