Share lessons to Google Classroom using the "Extensions" link
Each lesson has a Google Classroom link in the "Extensions" below the video.
By clicking this link, you are given the following popup:
Click the green button next to "Assign this lesson by clicking here". You will then be asked to choose a classroom where you want to assign the lesson. (If you don't have Google Classroom set up, please visit classroom.google.com to set it up.)
Once you click the class you want to share the lesson to, you'll be taken to the assignment page. Here you can type in any instructions or custom questions for your students. If you just want to assign the video to your students, simply click the "Assign" option in the top right.
Before you can add a worksheet, you will need to Copy a Student Editable version from the lesson title page. Learn more about how to save interactive worksheets to your Google Drive here.
If you want to add a worksheet to go along with the video, click on the drop-down arrow next to Assign and "Save as Draft"
Once your draft has been saved, you can navigate back to your Google Classroom account. Be sure to click on the Classwork header to view your drafts.
You will see a draft version of the assignment you just created, click on the name, and then click to "Edit assignment."
You can click on the [Add] button in your assignment draft and choose "File".
This will send you to your Google Drive where you can choose the worksheet you previously copied and 'Insert' it into your assignment.
You will now see the worksheet listed below the lesson video in your assignment draft page. Be sure to click on the drop-down menu on the right to select "Make a copy for each student." This will ensure that each student gets their own unique worksheet that they can fill out and submit as part of the assignment!
You can now click 'Assign' or 'Schedule' in the top right to assign to your class!
Before you can add an assessment, you will need to copy a version from our Google Form of Assessments page. Learn more about how to save interactive assessments to your Google Drive here.
Instead of attaching an assessment to an existing assignment, you will want to create a New Assignment in the Classwork section of your Classroom. This will ensure that the "Grade Importing" toggle is on and you will be able to see the assignments as they come in.
If you have additional questions, you can view Google Classroom's FAQs or contact their support.
