We have closed captioning available on all of our lessons and mini-lessons. When viewing a lesson, you can click on the “CC” button in the bottom right corner of the video player to turn on closed captioning. This activates CCs for any given slide; when you switch to the next slide, you need to press that button again.
Another way to turn on closed captions permanently is to change it in your account settings.
To access your settings, log in to your Mystery Science account and click on your name in the top right corner of the homepage. Then, click “Account & Membership” in the dropdown menu. Once on this page, scroll all the way down to the “Closed Captions” section under Lesson View Settings to switch on the closed captions (screenshot below).
Turning on this setting will automatically enable closed captions for every video in each of our units.
Please note that turning closed captions on like this doesn't work in YouTube. So using this setting will switch you over to our alternate player, Wistia. If for some reason you want to switch back to YouTube, you'll need to turn the closed caption button off again in the account settings.
