This summer, we will start posting all mini-lessons to MysteryScience.com, our parent company. While we’re retiring the Mystery Doug website, we are still hard at work here at Mystery Science!
What’s Mystery Doug? How is it different from Mystery Science?
We housed all of our shorter weekly mini-lessons on a separate website called Mystery Doug. However, they’ve also always been available on our parent site called Mystery Science! Mystery Science includes all standards-aligned full lessons with hands-on activities, seasonal collections, and mini-lessons - in one place!

Why the transition?
We are continuing to develop lessons, site features, and more for our educators! Instead of posting on two sites, we intend to consolidate and invest in www.mysteryscience.com. Over the years, we’ve learned that Mystery Science offers a more seamless experience when accessing videos and hands-on activities.
When will Mystery Doug become unavailable?
You can access www.mysterydoug.com until June 30, 2023. After that, you can continue to access all our wonderful content on www.mysteryscience.com! The same archive on Mystery Doug will be available on Mystery Science, which you can find under the “Mini-lessons” tab.
What are my next steps?
First, don’t forget that you will always have access to the two most recently uploaded mini-lessons! Whew!
- You’re able to share lessons via Student Links as you did on Mystery Doug. If you saved a series of lesson links from the Mystery Doug site, please note the change.
- If you’ve tracked your progress in a specific way while using Mystery Doug, please save screenshots or document your lesson plans before June 30th.
- If you have a Mystery Doug account but are new to Mystery Science and need any help, please reach out!
We are excited to answer questions and help you make this transition!
