Is Mystery Science COPPA and FERPA compliant?

Mystery Science is FERPA and COPPA-compliant.

Student privacy is of the utmost importance to us at Mystery Science and that is why we monitor all accounts, do not allow students to have their own accounts, and why we do not gather personal information from students. We also do not maintain student records in our system and we do not sell any user data.

All accounts are owned by teachers, administrators, and parents. Adults are able to share videos and lesson content with a student by sending them anonymous student links. Student links provide limited access to the Mystery Science website and do not require a student to create a login or account. Students are not asked to enter any personal information when using an anonymous student link, and our systems are designed so that certain features are disabled when our services are accessed via a student link.
