Teachers tend to make the best advocates for investment in resources, and we have a few suggestions that you can try.
One great strategy is to invite your principal in for a classroom observation, so they can have a chance to see for themselves how fun and engaging Mystery Science is. This can go a long way in helping your administrator see the value in investing in this resource for the school in the future!
Another very effective strategy is to volunteer to conduct a short demo at a staff meeting for all teachers. Our Getting Started page includes a free training presentation and Mystery Science Walkthrough video to help. You can find both of these under the "Professional Development" section on that page.
We have found that when a teacher who loves to use Mystery Science shares their enthusiasm with other teachers by leading the meeting, the usage among other teachers quickly rises. More usage means that more students are getting more exposure to science in a fun and engaging way, and administrators are far more likely to understand what an important resource Mystery Science is in the classroom!
We'd also be more than happy to connect with your school administration to advocate on your behalf. If you would like to find out more about this possibility, please reach out to us.
